Have recently aquired a proflex 656 and trying to get it back to it's pomp.

It seems to have a generic set of silver riser handlebars which do not look like they were original (sheldons says that the orig were Hsin Lung alloy), any suggestions on what would be period, silver does look nice- not sure on the riser?

If anyone has a bar they think would fit let me know

handlebars are supposed to be swapped and replaced every so often and there is no "correct" handlebar to any build.
a hyperlite, titec bontrager, kore, ritchey, ibis, lp B series or any UK made, taiwan made, US made high quality bar does the job.

point taken big scary dog man, next question- to rise or not to rise that is the question?

hehe... i have a GS female: the sweetest most docile dog i ever seen. she loves strangers.. go figure.
proflex(es?) have always shown w/ straight bars. if it's a show bike go for straight. if it's a rider go w/ what you feel comfortable.
