Where is the nipple stuck in my rim?

Cheers for the help guys. It's an empty rim due a re-build but it won't stop rattling. And I don't want to build it again and have a phantom rattle.

I've heard of the burrs of metal thing from the joining process before but didn't want to accept it and just bung glue in there. Think of the weight

I think I'll try the vacuum method first as it sounds pretty easy.

Then I'll have a go at the fishing line method.

Failing those I'll dribble loc-tite in.

Its not a nipple

A common problem (with 117/217) is the joiner - a bit like a pinned rim, that mavic used before welding the SUP process

Find the join, Its opposite the valve hole, dribble some loctite super nut lock, Its the blue one  from the spoke holes either side.

problem solved

If that doesn't work, Drill two small holes from inside the tyre well, and drop a couple of drops of super glue in

As above - or a tiny squirt of expanding foam will do the job too.
