Where is the nipple stuck in my rim?

The rim rattles but nothing comes out....

It's a Mavic 217 with steel eyelets and the nipples were alloy.

is it a bare rim or is it a built wheel? If the latter it may be stuck behind a protruding spoke.

If you cut the rim in half it will drop out easily ... problem solved... my paypal address is .....

Its not a nipple

A common problem (with 117/217) is the joiner - a bit like a pinned rim, that mavic used before welding the SUP process

Find the join, Its opposite the valve hole, dribble some loctite super nut lock, Its the blue one from the spoke holes either side.

If that doesn't work, Drill two small holes from inside the tyre well, and drop a couple of drops of super glue in

put some nylon cable in a hole and feed it rounduntil it pushes the nipple out....its like thick fishing wire stuff ....great on conduit



last ditch method works everytime
put tape all the way round except for 2 holes.put vacuum cleaner to the rim and ell sucko ensues ...will pop out nice and easily
