You can make a trueing stand (and a dishing gauge) from a quarter sheet of 20mm MDF and a few hours of your spare time.
There are plans for building one in Roger Musson's wheelbuilding book.

My trusty Minoura ones from the 1990s still work well.

I like the look of the TACX one but it seems to be only available in UK and not in N.A. any help?

Maybe I'll try my hand and getting one of those older Minoura one that you all seem to have. On the new styles available now, the parts looks cheap and flimsy.
