Wheel builders. I'm beginning to hate them

Learn how to build your own. It's not rocket surgery :)

I got my dad to learn back when i was racing cyclo-cross in 80's/90's it was almost essential.

When I was breaking spokes the other week after pulling the MTB from storage he replaced the snapped spokes a couple of times, before I bought a batch of steel spokes to replace the titanium ones completely. Must be like riding a bike, as he hadnt rebuilt in wheel since '93 / '94 I guess but he did a fab job.

Its great to have that option.

It isnt rocket science, you just need patience and practise and in the long run its helps keep them straight and keep your costs down.

Plus that unused pair of Syncros rims I bought for a tenner at the Bike Jumble is now me new wheels! RESULT! Tintin, want me to teach you? Free of charge.*

Oh i forgot to mention that Evens Hendon wheel builder dropped a nipple in my front wheel build. Must remember to cross him off my Xmas card list
