Wheel and freehub bearing help needed

I'm no stranger to replacing hub and freehub bearings and have the need to do this on some newly acquired wheels that came attached to a Mondraker foxy r that I bought for my son, which arrived today.

I knew the bearings needed doing but had no idea what make or model the hubs were until it arrived.

They are branded Alpha Components but an online search hasn't yielded much in the way of information.

I believe they are the original hubs and it seems both ends need doing, including the freehub. I'd imagine they are from around 2015/16 as I believe that's the approx frame year. They are non boost.

Anyone have any knowledge of these hubs and what bearings are needed. Even better, any info on removal of the freehub.

I've not taken them apart yet as the bike is rideable and my son is obviously quite excited to ride it, so my plan would be to purchase the required bearings and have them ready to fit one evening to reduce any downtime for him.

Thanks

I've found some info on the front hub process, use the axle to prise off the end caps and drift out the bearings so that's easy enough.

Can't find any info on the rear. I'm going to assume the hub bearing process is similar to the front, but not sure about the freehub as to whether bearings can be replaced as per hope hubs, or if it's new freehub territory, and if so, what freehub is needed or how to remove it.

I took the plunge and set about the rest hub. It was easy enough to remove one end cap and pull off the freehub with the axle in situ.

How do I remove the end cap sonic can take the freehub off and work out if I can replace the bearings?

A few pics below, it seems that the freehub is a novatec, and the splines are quite minimal, a good few less than you'd normally see for one that takes a Shimano cassettes.

If anyone can help with tips on removing the freehub from the axle, it would be a huge help.

Youre doing well😃
Did you already use the flats on the axle end? They must serve some purpose.
Can you post a picture of the axle into freehub body bearings both ends? It's most likely the axle has a steep on one end and the bearing id is identical, so it will tap out one way only.
This is usually towards the outside, as this way holds the freehubbody onto the freehub when riding.

If there are circlips, they should be visible.

Thanks, progress was needed as bearings are pretty rough and play in freehub. I had to put it all back together as he wanted to go for a ride and show his friends.

On the nds there was a similar end which I screwed easily, allowing me to pull the cake and freehub out from the drive side.

Problem is, axle is round and has nothing to grip so I can't unscrew the drive side end cap, which is preventing me removing the freehub. The axle is also hollow so no Allen key option to hold it while I unscrew the drive side end cap.

I don't see any circlips.

I think I've found the answer, it should slide off the axle via the nds. Should be simple now I know that. Just need to find a good source of 6902 2rs bearings and I can get the wheels running smooth again.
