what's my orange?

hiya, could any of you work out what model/year this is please?

serial number is M9ES2102
bottom bracket cable routing
1" headtube
'gappy' rear drop out
and the seat tube junction is the lugged one
the rear stays are large though not straight like other oranges i've got.

hmmmmm

I'm rubbish with serial numbers, but the Prestige I owned didn't have a lugged part at the top of the seat tube.

More than likely a clockwork, c16r etc. based on that lug,

Is it a wishbone rear seat-stay set up? and do you have pics of the rear canti hanger?

yeah wishbone back end.

i think the cantis bridge was taken off when it was resprayed though.

i think they ditched the lug when it got to the P + C series, judging by my other bikes.

Never known an Orange to have those guides on the BB shell though :? , early steel Oranges had a road bike style noodle on the top of the shell (for the front mech only) later ones had all three cables along the top tube.

i was just about to say the same thing, also i don't see any rack mountings.
which both my prestiges & clockwork have.

Could be a Muddy Fox & sadly the 'M' in the serial number 'could' suggest this.

By 'lug' I assuming you are meaning the external reinforcement around the top of the seattube ?

not the same as my C16-R ...... there's no hole in the dropout area !

Looks like a respray M Fox with the plastic cable guide left in place before the repaint and the rear cable guide filed off.
