What's happened to all the "stuff"

most of my horde isn't worth the trouble to sell it, so I just give it to the bike co-op. I'm trying to rack up the karma or pass it on after getting a Mondonico for free.

I will say, when scanning the local classified ads, you can tell who bought bikes at the top of the market during COVID. 😂 They're prices are astronomical, what with the current market for vintage part's and bikes and all. 😂 2k for a huge Aelle tre tubi Atala. 😂 Give me a break 😂 or $400 for a modified Specialized hard rock...

The sellers complain its too cheap and the buyers complain its too expensive?🤔

That's "situation normal"😄

I need to sell at purchase plus 50%+vat, so hoarding is expensive in a downturn, but rewarding in a boom.

Covid cleared out a lot of stock.

I usually value the boxes of old parts at 0 in a stocktake, so any sale seems like 100% margin😃

I’ve planned for this situation by doing spreadsheets for each bike and realistic selling prices for each part or complete.

So if the worse happens they have a bit of guidance.

It will also help when I do decide to leave the hobby as I can list stuff and do an inventory easily.
I've done the same thing, it's a good idea.
