Just had a Sainsburys beef madras + nann from the fridge that needed eating. Didn't really fancy it but I also didn't fancy the trots if I'd left it another couple of days!
Used to be quite common over here (though I think it might have been brewed under licence by now-defunct Vaux of Sunderland??) and in bottled bone fide Danish form has reappeared in UK supermarkets in the last couple of years.
Meatballs and Pasta
4x 1/4lb burgers
1x pepper
1x onion
2x shallots
3x cloves of garlic
Finely chop the veg and add it to burgers meat.Mix, till the chopped veg is incorporated into the mix.
Divide into 4-6 balls
Roll each in flour
Fry gently for 30mins
Add to casserole dish with a mix in sauce[sausage/tomato etc]
Cook @ 200c for about an hour
Cook pasta and drain.Add meatballs and sauce to cooked pasta and serve.
Cheap pre grated Parmesan should not be used
I've got some nice fresh onions so i might have battered onion rings to go with it :?
