"What we need is..."

Do not mock them for they know not what they do. Go forth and spread the gospel. It is possible to ride down a hill with less than 8 inches of travel.

does remind me of a mate with a team issue dirt badger decked out in " freeride mode " at the time that prick bender was throwing himself off cliffs with a shitty bike strapped to his groin

he was psyching himself up do drop off the side of the seafront onto the beach below ( about 10 feet down ) taking fooking ages too . eventually rolled off it and upon landing the boing bucked him off . as soon as he got up another mate who gave up riding years ago that happened to be chilling on the beach grabbed another mates bmx and without a moments thought jumped off , threw a barspin in for good measure and rode out clean

I challenge you guys to bring your retro rigid hardtails to Whistler and ride this

the point is there are only places like wales and scotland that warrant the need for bikes like that ( the vid is appalling though ) the vast majority of england doesnt need them and certainly not chicksands

NOOOOO!

If you preach the gospel, you'll let the cat out of the bag and then they'll just be bidding against you on everything you try to buy! :D

Riding the freeride section at Cwmcarn on Sunday on my hardtail whilst being watched by some guys on long travel FS rigs who were scared witless by the smallest ramp at the start. They happily agreed that they had 'all the gear, no idea'!

I think at the end of the conversation that they were off to sell their bikes and buy something less bouncy :)

I must admit though that Lapierre were doing a demo day and I was quite taken by the look of their short travel FS bike, X-Control I think it was called?

i remember my first DH spec bike well....full rigid with some wider tyres and some bar extention inserts into my flat bars to give me about an extra 1/2 inch width on each side......
