What tyres??

Hey Guys,

I am wondering what tyres (or tires for the American's) you guys are running on your retro rides? I am looking to acquire some now and there are limited options.. I am probably going to buy some Panaracer Trailblasters for now and wait for some Ritchey Z-Max's NOS (I wish) to turn up..

What are your thoughts?

My only rule with tyres on a retro bike is that they must be skin (amber) wall.

Generally a case of whats available at the time I'm building. I have quite a collection of Tioga/Onza/Specialized now though.

NOS Z-Max aren't easy to find.

Check out first flight bikes, they've had some panaracers remade timbukII's IIRC also have some NOS farmer johns cousin

I have grey/amberwall Tioga Psycho IIs and a Smoke/Dart amberwall combo if I don't get on with the Psychos.

not meaning to be rude but panaracer smokes are terrible!! they dont grip a thing although upon saying that i cant think of a retro option. wildgrippers????????

Original Porcs, Wildgrippers (in whatever colour is available...).....currently quite liking Re-issue Porcs.....got some Psycho K's but not got them dirty yet
