What to build next?

Re:

A Wolverhampton built Viking would also make for an interesting project . 8)
Some interesting web sites .{can not paste a link :? }

Nice Ernie Clements on the bay at this time .

Some of the English frames from the 50's are exquisite.

The workmanship looks like it was a real labour of love.

From frame builders such as Gillott, Hetchins, Bates, Ephgrave, Rotrax and so the list goes on. The geometry can take a bit of getting used to, the angles can be quite slack, though Bates were a bit more modern in that aspect.

Re:

I'm looking at many of those names at present.

Bagpuss, I've done a quick read around on Viking.... nice.

I definitely want to build something lightweight and designed more for racing that touring, but I still have a completely open mind as to which era, although I don't want to be any newer than 1979.

Some of the 1950's bikes are really classy and I love the half chrome forks and rear stays look, it just appeals to my sense of aesthetic.
