What should I pay? Merlin Malt

Might be in line for a Merlin Malt frame and forks?!?
The frame is polished Ali but laquer is coming off in places!
The guy had it 2nd hand in '97. What would be a good price to pay?? :?

Just reading another thread, seems that re laquering could be a cosmetic problem, as will not look as good as new!

The laqcuer isn't really needed - take it all off and polish the alloy.

I'm not joking, after polishing rub Pantene shampoo over it. There's silicone which acts like a lacquer. Brings the Ducati up a treat too.
