right! got this frame off scant, cheers mate! :D

idea being that i would do a frame swap from my c16r so that i have an aluminium bike to ride to my new place of work on. the bike shed area is open to the elements and my c16r is too nice to get ruined by being outside in the winter being steel.

but then i got thinking!!! i have a huge amount of bits lying around! yay!!! another complete bike!!! :D :D  :D  :D

so it begs the question, what bits? then, sod it! do it properly and get it painted!!!! :D :D  :D :D

so, what colour? original colours or something different? i do regret getting my 93 clockwork done in green rather than the purple and orange it should have been! :(

also should i remove the brake bridge on the back end? i don't want cantilever brakes on there cos i want more braking power. which then begs the question v brakes or maguras? i have an lx/xt set of v brakes but fancy a set of yellow maguras! :?

help!!! opinions please!!!!! :D :D :D

pictures to follow!

if you're gonna be running around to work and stuff on it i'd build it with modern deore.

i did the pictures separately cos the after i had typed out the above message the site had a spaz!!! so hopefully these will post!

doesn't need paint. Agree that modern Deore drive chain coupled with Magura brakes would make it very useable in the winter!

i know it doesn't "need" paint but i WANT paint!!! :D

i have ritchey chainset in black, xt mechs although they are m750, deore 9speed rapidfire, chain and cassette and the v's but really leaning towards the maguras. not sure about wheels yet either.

bidding on an accutrax fork in dayglow yellow from the US to fit but if i don't get it i have 1 1/8th coverters to run something less pimpy!

Leave it purple and get some replacement decals in dayglo yellow to match the accutrax fork.

Then build it up with the stuff you have. it should be reliable with that kit and it will look vary cool. 8)

the Accutrax will go for way more than you paid for that frame but would be ace.

i'm hoping it won't go to high coz it's 1 1/4. we'll see!

got new stickers for the frame aswell, was thinking of matt light grey, new stickers, the yellow fork then the yellow maguras?

the fork has been painted and restickered, so is mint. hence thinking the paint job, mint fork and mint frame.

or does that sound a bit poo? what do you reckon?
