What rotor

Feel daft asking ,but here goes

Can you use any brand of rotor with any brand of calliper

ie. I have C2 callipers and need a 180mm disc[180-185] buy dont want to pay for a new C2 rotor and would rather pick one up here or ebay,can i buy any brand of 180 odd mm rotor and use that.

I use different brands of rotor for different brand disk calipers. I think the only thing that needs to be the same is the diameter i.e. don't use 183's for 180mm etc

Just remember that rotors wear out, too. Buying a used one could be iffy if you can't look at it first, I have worn out two sets of rotors in the last 3 years.

Any suggestions as to where to get one paying minimum price :?

I've seen some on ebay going for £11 inc post,but i dont know if theyre just shi* quality and not worth £1 let alone £11

It's hard to say without knowing what they're made from and how. Hope have a special machine that surfaces both side of the disc to give a flat true surface, this kind of work does not come cheap.

But having said that, i've laser cut several from stainless steel sheet, that have held up well.
