What is the longest ride you have done on your retro.

Not in a day surely?! :o

273 miles on a day is perfectly well possible. Minimum distance you have to cover in any audax is around 360km, on a typical 400k event most riders finish in the 20-24 hour range.

Maybe not on the pennine way! Is a bit lumpy/rocky/muddy.
Tho, given ideal conditions, no mechanicals or mishaps, you could possibly do it in 24 hours.

Mate of mine did the 7 day Off Road Tour of the Peaks in one hit, took him 18 odd hours, door to door, that's the thick end of 200 miles. Think he was on a Klein Attitude.

As an aside....... I did the Lyke Wake Walk ride on a bike (44 miles) as did quite a few Hull Thursday RC members and we weren't allowed to get a Coffin badge :(

I was riding a Vitus 979 for a bit, until a small accident has now rendered it useless. I did the London to Brighton day and night rides on it. The day ride my mate and I decided to cycle back. We struggled on the return journey but managed to clock up to 120 miles.

It was a fantastic bike to ride around. Now I'm looking forward to clocking up some mileage on my new old bike.
