Interesting that they reverted to steel for the 1998 Storm, but the Jet Stream went to aluminium (and was given suspension). An early SID might suit a 1997 Storm best.
I'm not sure that's correct -think it's a mistake on the Mombat site..
The storm became alum in '97 and not much changed for '98 at Breezer.
Likewise, the Jetstream and Lightning were still steel in 97 and presumably 98
I am just going by the Breezer catalogue for 1998, surely that must be right? It says the Storm was back to cromoly and the Jet Stream moved to aluminium. Bikepedia says that too.

Anyway, my point was really that it's clearly an aluminium frame and it can't be any earlier than 97, so a 97 or 98 suspension fork would suit it best. There was a blue and white Judy XC which would look perfect, but may not work all that well. That's why I would go for an SID, depending on Big Eck's weight of course.

Appologies Anthony, my mistake -things did change for 98 then.

Agree with you about suspension. Personally I feel a steel Breezer 'should' really be rigid, but sussies would suit the alum models well. *chokes on words*

i'm more interested in the green thing in the background!

I think ALL of Eck's bikes are 17.5"

That will be nice with some solid forks on it mate,

Does it have a hanger for the canti cable on the rear? hard to see in the pics.

I have seen on some bikes ( like halfords special brand's) a canti cable hanger that attatches to the seat pin, never seen one on here though, its just too 'working' class for these lads
