The best way to lose weight is to go running. For some reason, mtbing isn't anything like as effective. If you feel too fat to run, then you should *definitely* start running! Slow as you like, doesn't matter, but never stop for a rest, three times a week, beats dieting any day.
true. I went down from 15 stone to 12.5 stone in 6 months but running 2 hours a week at a steady (but not excessive) pace and stopped eating pies (and suchlike!). That got the weight off. Once weight was gone I started cycling again and it has kept the weight off (and is MUCH better for my knees), however I have to cycle about 3 hours a week at least to maintain weight.
