I found a good little inflation calculator that tells you how much something that you bought back-in-the-day would cost in today's money... http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/historic-i ... calculator

In 1993, my Sahara cost £460 + £24 for the Onza bar ends. Total: £484. Today, that would be the equivalent of £735.68!

(Ten years earlier, my dad paid £26,000 for a 3 bed bungalow. That's the equivalent of £67,600 today...)

Paid £480 for my Dave Yates Diablo in Colombus Chrom Or in '91 (first year of student loans  ). Would be £801.60 today  .

I bought a flat in 96 for £39000. the ex-wife sold for 140,000 so i think this web site is a little wrong saying £55000

I paid £600 for a Trimble frame now it says £948 i think i'll start selling

Are these not pretty spot on? or thereabouts?

furinstance a top end Zaskar is between 3-3.5K today.
