What did you do for Fathers Day???

Woken at 12.45am on Sunday morning at Mayhem by Captain Sinnet and told to be on the start/finish line at 2.15am. Readied bike in the heavy, cold dew and swapped with DryPaul on to a double lap shift. Stopped around 4am for a cup of coffe at the tent feeling somewhat alone - babby still slumbering (wife acknowledged I was still alive). Returned at 6.01am in bright sunlight. Tried to sleep but couldn't - the heckling tent soon fired up and the warmth brought the family around. Fired up the rusting digital wheels of steel before being presented with my first ever Father's Day card at our tent, complete with photo album of the first seven months with my boy.. three hours to pack up our gear, home by 10pm, arms roasting themselves. No milk in the house for tea, so straight to bed (approximately 30 miunutes sleep in the last 24 hours/Junior however, got at least 11...) :-)

Nothing. I'm not a father and my dad tells me not to bother doing anything as its all american bull shiz. Not sure if that's correct or not

up at 6am, breaky , ride to train station, train to Denmark hill, ride to Clapham common , 8am start London to Brighton 2:30 finish London to Brighton , drive home , Sunday dinner, chocolate, bed.

All day on the bike in a group .....

Left 07.45, back at 21.15. 106 miles, 4 cafe stops, 5 punctures, one jammed chain, sunstroke, dehydration, sore legs, very sore arse.

Luvvit!!! :P

Fathers Day has been a tradition in England since before America was invented hasn't it?

Mothers day has been celebrated in one form or another (motherhood, womans day, fertility etc) for thousands of years, but I am sure Fathers day was a recent thing introduced by the card industry :?

Dunno about the card industry being responsible but you are right about the rest.. ithat is assuming that America was invented before the 1970's. . .
I was born in 1966 and can't remember it being around then... :?
