What Classic Single speed frame

Retrobike Rider
So I was sorting through my lovely SS wheels and parts and started thinking I really should build up a “race” bike. So please suggest an amazing single speed 26” frame. Steel or Ti, track ends, canti studs and if anyone has a small frame that fits the bill, please let me know...ta

I think most of the amazing ones were custom one-offs if steel or Ti.

Amongst production frames, they are generally aluminium:
Pace RC200 with custom singlespeed dropouts
Kona Explosif (but post 1998) - singlespeed dropouts certainly available.
Kona Kaboom

One-One carried the torch in the UK, I would say it's classic but not amazing.
How about a Pace RC104? Made in 853 IIRC...

Good suggestions. I've been offered a Pace in the past, it's a possibility. I've owned Kona and still have my On One inbred frame in the attic, again that's another possibility, pity it's a tad weighty....

Re:

Bontrager Factory single speed, Salsa a la Carte SS, Phil Wood PISS OFF, Kish titanium, Matt Chester titanium, Spot brand Titanium, Spot brand steel.

Thanks Rod, I've had a few Spot steel frames, they were nice. I was offered a Piss Off frame and a Bontrager a while ago but both were in the States and both had "issues". I'd love a Kish but have never seen one for sale in my size..I'll investigate the other 2....

Re:

All good shouts there by Mr. Saetan... There was a lovely Spot frame in your size on Ebay that you just missed out on, went for a good price too.

It might be worth looking into Gunnar frames as well? Once again you may have more luck Stateside :)

I've had the Spot frames and fancy something different so I've been on the lookout for an Independent Fabrication or Soulcraft Plowboy frame for 10 years +
