Hi folks,
Does anyone know the correct spindle length for a late 90's Attitude? I'm not 100% sure of the year but it's one without internal cable routing.
I got a good deal on a Hope Ti BB with a fairly short spindle (forget the actual length, around 107mm IIRC), which I fancied trying out in order to get the pedals inboard a little bit ... and to drop a few grams
Anyway, it's messed up the chainline, and also I discovered that the front mech cage needed to be set so far in that it, or at least part of the mechanism, actually rests against the seat tube and limits travel, with the result that it's hit and miss whether I can actually shift to the granny ring, especially under load!
All in all, not a successful experiment! Can someone remind me what I need to undo the mess??
Thanks, Gareth.
