Curious to know what skewers you think are the best?
Whether internal cam, external - steel or Ti and price/going rate wise? And of course looks and design.
And pics please!

I'm looking to buy a pair of the Paul Comp 25th Anniversary Skewers - are they worth it? Will cost $100 a pair from AVT.

Re:

Shimano standard are ace, can't fault them. After that its the hope ones.

The Paul's are not worth it, no skewer is either it when they do nothing a bog standard Shimano one does best. I think of the hope as an extravagance, so always buy them when some silly bike pimp sells there hardly used ones off.

I was actually quite surprised how well the current hope one work, after using old one and so similar can style ones. But you are just paying for the look.

Salsa are my favorites. Decent price, look great, good ergonomics, lots of colors. (decent weight in the Ti-version).

Any pics? And Internal vs External cam?

Re:

How about Royce Talent?
(Very Expensive - but are they really worth that much more than say Campag Record or Shimano? or even the Paul's? Or the Hope or Salsa??)

The Royce ones look ace, but I'm terrified to even ask the price...
Bloody £160!!!! That's on SALE!!! The Gold ones are £260! For a pair of Skewers??!?!?

Beautiful, but for that price there should be a set of hubs with them!

If you're talking vintage skewers, American Classics were always my fave. Light, simple, strong, came in colours, and titanium. Hard to find though...

Not Royce hubs you don't! I found out how much a Titanium Royce set of hubs cost... took me months of therapy to come to terms that such things exist
