what are judy lowers made from?

Polishing them up could be a mucky job... all that Mg alloy dust etc.
And I think they'd need to be clear-coated over the top to stop any corrosion.

But not impossible...
 
Good God no! :shock: They corrode with paint on them! they'd just crumble to dust if you took it off! :D

Seriously, they could look quite cool polished and would probably not suffer from oxidation as badly. You'd need to keep a close eye on them and keep them waxed but they would look nice I reckon.

Don't use a power tool to polish them though if they are magnesium! :shock:

Having paint or lacquer on them causes more corrosion than it prevents cos it traps water against the metal and boy does mag oxidise when it gets going!
