Flinkin' forks have worn out, anodising on the sliders is gone (manitou disease). No problem! Buy a new fork... More than 80mm with rim brake bosses
OK the dilema, do I buy a new complete (which I've never done and hate the idea of all the compromised parts) or do I throw a fortune at my '99 S-works M4? (new wheels, new brakes, new fork, new headset, cranks are getting past it too) If it was just matter of buying a fork it'd be easy. Brakes are a problem... no disc mounts on my frame.
It's driving me mad it'll cost £1000+ to sort the old machine out. For that money I could get one of those all singing all dancing German machines Radon, Cube but they're always boring anodised black
Grrrr just as I replace every last bolt with a titanium or alloy one the damn thing becomes defunked on me...
