Wet day project just finished.

I have had an old Mercian king hanging in the garage for a few years now.
It has been a real slow rebuild . Finally finished today.
I've posted this before but it bears repeating:

Shimano 7 speed cassette.
Shimano RSX levers,Tekro nut fit brakes.
Specialized triple chianset.
3ttt bars and stem.
Camagnolo seat pin , Rolls saddle.
SKS gold mudgards.
Suntour pedals.

I finally found the roundtoit for this KOM frame.
As I said I had the frame hanging up for a few years and waiting for parts. I had it powder coated a couple of years ago.
I recently purchased a Raleigh Randonneur,for which I am going to upgrade most the components...hey presto.I now had a spare pair of quality wheels,gears,pedals. The chainset that came with the Mercian. The old Weinmann carrera brakes were badly worn so need replacing. I went for modern Tekro nut fit. The Suntour bar end shifter whilst functional were not indexed, so I replaced them with Shimano ones from the shed, along with bars,stem,saddle.seat pin,brake lever & chain {NOS D.I.D suntour}
The only new parts purchased are brakes,cassette and tyres.
The tyres I bought in France about 4 years ago!
All in all quality shed time.
