I am amazed at all the bitching about this.

Though I am far left of the current government, I think it is mad to hand out money to people who plainly do not need it.

All our CB was invested for our kids' future; same as my parents' did.

It is immoral to me to take money that you just don't need, when others have a real need for help.

The economically deprived did not get there by laziness, and they are as entitled to have kids as anyone else, in fact it is vital to retain our society's diversity.

The system in Denmark is much better than ours, it is largely based on ours, and if we just went a bit further with taxation ours could be as good.

Do you purposefully try to get a rise out of people......further taxation...are bl...y insane we pay tax on everything we do already,If the goverment stopped waisting money on illegal wars and other rubbish that does not concern us and stopped giving money to the third world all would be well,further taxation is unnecassary it just needs to be spent more wisely

Well it might be at the moment. Not so sure about that in the long run as the current government seems intent on ruining everything that underpinned the stability of the danish economy, in favour of the Thatcherite "leave it all to market forces" ideal.

At least we still have
1) Fixed rate mortgages
2) Unemployment insurance

So it ain't all bad, yet.

No actually but it is not our place to sort out the problems a country that will not help them selves is it,we have enough trouble at the moment sorting our own economy.....did you know that our government give millions to china and india to help them "adapt" to climate change...........how many coal fired power stations do china open each week.....they are laughing that we are giving them money when they have a huge industrial income and a vast economy already it is pathetic.

China and India don't seem to count as third world - so understand your frustration at them getting handouts.

But developing countries need our help and it's in our own interest - they'll be our customers when we've got them out of the debt problems we created for them.
