Having just sold three nice bikes and enjoying the space in the shed, I was browsing on here when this was flagged up. A simple detour on my way home and £15 later it's in my shed. Seat post is stuck, bearings are solid, shifters are wrecked. Other than that it looks to be something to satisfy my tinkerlust for a while. Plusgas applied through bottle boss. Fingers crossed!

This will be a minimal cost resto. Probably put Vs on it or refurb these cantis but will need 7 speed shifters as the only thing i have are XT thumbies or maybe some gripshifters if I kept them from the BV SE. Got CX tyres left over from my Jake so all good.

Why did i do it?

Ebay pic: Was in her garden for two years and shows it. BIG

at £15, if you have parts bin parts you could easily turn profit.

Or it'd be an ace pub bike

Been the big guy you are THM am sure that seatpost will be sound where it is? If not I would try what Regan suggested.
Hope you get somewhere with it.

Profit? :) Been trawling so £15 is getting off lightly even if i give the bits away after a few happy hours of failure.

Re:

There can't be more than 10cm of seat post stuck in there. Easy peasy job I reckon.

Quite fancy similar as a tourer
