I can remember when i was a welding apprentice and theres no way we would have been let loose on alu.
to be honest the rts2 was made from 7005 aluminium so no heat treament required so as long as the welder/engineering company has a ac/dc welding set and the right welding consumables(tig wire) and said welder is competent welding aluminium to a high standard then should be no big deal.
welding consumables suitable can be found on bholerthysen.co.uk (in my opinion the best wires around,bit more money but as always you get what you pay for.)
