weinmann delta brakes?

Weinmann delta brakes on sale here
I'm building up a vitus 979 carbon and was tempted by these but are they just a museam piece? Can they be trusted as I will be riding out in the peaks on it. Any feedback welcome ta stef

They actually work quite well, similar to other early 80's brakes, but not as good as late 80's and 90's brakes.

Are you trying to make it a period build? if not then maybe some more modern dual pivots would give you the confidence you need ?

I had a set once. Actually not bad brakes mechanically although (a) the rubber waterproofing covers look a bit ugly and (b) pad holder-to-wheel spacing is a bit limited, so be careful what brand of blocks you go for.

Also I'll make sure to match the levers, IIRC the pull ratio has to be low?
