Please forgive the fluff..

My baby. Never to be sold. Had it from new; really beaten up and so much so that the jeweller knows me by the watch now when I take it for a service. He's always pleased to see one that is 'used'.

Excuse the crap phone shot.

Early 70's Longines too- must be the motor racing fan in me.

Yeah some of the 70's Heuers and Breitlings are brilliant. Always fancied an Autavia... The reissues don't do a lot for me I'm afraid. Tag logo's urghh...

That said the very early Monaco reissues had a Heuer logo. Monaco's also look brilliant on the rare bracelet option.

Same with me - most of the watches I like are Motor Racing derived in one form or another.

I'm a sucker for Rolex, especially the Sports ones. Currently I have:

2006 Daytona
2003 GMTII
2002 Explorer I
1995 Tudor Submariner
1970s Tudor US Marine Submariner
1965 Tudor Ranger

Really after a 1655 Explorer II though...

But also love any watch and also have
1974 Omega Flightmaster
2005 Tag Link
1980s Avia Marino
Bell & Ross BR01-96
10 swatches including 2 first gen jellyfish
countless pocket watches and various other wristwatches

but my favourite of all is my 16th Century single hand longcase clock - retro in the extreme

There you go GT, the lot is more 'rare' than 'nice'(imho), especially given that down reality street it is devoid of all handling blemishes and the bracelet was never sized. Though the dial looks flat on the pic's the sub-dials are heavilly dished with concentric turnings.

For someone wishing to collect the Longines brand then models pre-'70 would be a good wicket because by then they were heading down to Halfords. Chronographs from this brand pre that date are the best out there bar nobody, ask a watchmaker and if they tell you any different then he/she is not where it's at. Unfortunately thier prowess in the homegrown chronograph calibre caper is no big secret and anything remotely akin darling category is going to be costing an handfull of k's. If it does'nt then it's either cocked-up or stolen.

Simply stunning imho, plain and simple, black/white/red, and lovely matt black bracelet. Do you happen to know the model umber on this one please, so I can hunt one down for myself?
Cheers for any help
Steve
