Wanted XTR V brake arm just 1!!

Hi all,

The thread has stripped on the cable bolt of one of my XTR v brake arms....SO ideally looking for just 1 arm! The side with the cable bolt and the XTR logo. I don't need any pads or bolts just the arm ideally. Its an M951 but might accept other XTR models...

...anyone got a lonely v brake arm looking for its other half this Xmas?

I bought a bike some time back that had full XT but a frankenbrake Deore XT/R rear V consisting of one arm M739 XT and the other M950/951 XTR, pretty sure the XTR is RH arm. Thought it was a bit weird at the time but now I realise it must have been fate

Might have to bear with me finding it as it's going to be buried in the cave, but will start the search this afternoon :xmas-wink:

An update:

A thoroughly satisfying conclusion! The brake arm was delivered just before Xmas free of charge! Along with instructions on how to dissemble it (which shamefully I wasn't aware was possible!). As it was the earlier M950 arm it had a different pivot brace and no spring as in the M951. So managed to switch over the relevant parts this afternoon. Brake arm now fitted and just returned from a ride on the bike and all is good in the world again...and I can stop!

Another testament to the good vibe that I have always felt from the retro bike crowd and a big up to Lee AKA Kult Friction for being a thoroughly good egg!
