WANTED. Land Rover series 2/2A 88 inch SWB

Hey I know this is an odd wanted ad but it's my dad's 60th birthday soon and he's after an old series 2/2A early series3 Land Rover to restore. Anything considered as long the chassis/bulkhead are solid and an overdrive would be nice also it needs to be drive able and on the road. If you happen to have one please let me know. I started wanting s2 but ended up with s3 lwt as bit cheaper

I do know of a lwt, ex RAF 1972 in mid restoration that's in need of a new home

early s3 are and now the cut off date has moved to 1-1-74 as well, hopefully mine (pic below) will be exempt next year as was built in 1974.

The 1972 one I mentioned is but is in bits so probably not appropriate, when on the road do you mean has to have an MOT so can be driven home ?

Sorry yes, ideally so it can be driven home, but we could possibly trailer home if needed.

You should be able to get something roadworthy for the £1500 mark. That seemed to be the going rate when I bought my 1967 S11A
