WANTED - 17" bike

A friend is looking for a complete bike with

- 17" aluminium frame
- Suspension forks
- Discs

Budget? £200 or around about (I think he could be persuaded to part with more for the right bike).

Anyone got one that matches (or similar) to the above?

Rob Aitken's got an 18" borrego frame and RotWild 1 has (or had) a 16" avlanche (think that was £40 last I saw). Might be a good basis for a cheap build - more retro though I guess.

He definitely wants a full bike and definitely wants discs so think that rules out the retro route.

It's a work colleague who doesn't cycle. I have pointed out the error of his ways (not cycling as well as bike choice) but of course he knows better :roll:

Have to love an optimist! I think it may be worth around £250, but then I may be an optimist too! You did mention £200 so lets go with that + postage (and then try to avoid postage somehow too )

Planning to refit the original (colour-matched rigid) forks today and tidy it up a bit, but it currently has Shocktechs if you'd prefer I left them on?

Just an idea pre-tidy and a couple of minor changes

And to show it's done naff-all mileage (it's my dad's)

To the best of my knowledge everything's original bar the tyres & brake blocks, Retro gold
