Walking through town yesterday lunch time I spotted a bike chained to some railings looking, from a distance, distinctly retro. Closer up it turned out to be a Raleigh Clubman, looking lightly worn but very healthy. The bars had been replaced with risers using a crappy steel stem from some cheapo MTB but still with the downtube shifters, which sort of suggests the owner isn't too prissy about his bike. Giving it the quick once over without looking like I was going to nick it I noticed a 531 transfer sitting behind the pump.
I hung around for as long as I could hoping the owner would come back, but no luck.
Hopefully I'll see the owner around and ask him if he'd like to sell and for how much. Not that I'm wanting to rip the guy off or anything, but I'm hoping he doesn't know what the bike's worth.
