Okay, first off, sorry for the BumBag / FannyPack terminology, but I'm sure that's what they're called

Second Up, does anyone still use one? Last night I was getting the kit ready for tonite's ride when I caught myself thinking, I really want something that can hold all the tools I need, but without the Water Bladder.. But not mounted on the Bike.. Then I remembered a Cosmic one I had BITD.. It was Shocking Pink  Eesh..

Came across this on CRC, but wonder if there's one I could slip in a Water Bottle if I needed to? Like a Triathlon kinda deal? And with perhaps a less Industrial clasp??

Yes They Are Still Being Used (Sure there is some photographic evidence from the weekends exploits at the Nationals, Thetford Forest)

Yes you can still get them, I have been looking at some on evilbay, made by UFO who do Trials Raceware and MTB clothing, they do a very nice 'Bum-Bag' or 'Waist-Bag' with a secure holder for water bottles. Its padded slightly so not to dig into you, and also comes in a range of funky colours. I will find the link tonight and update :)

Jussa :)

IMO having those pockets on your belt is a hindrance. It's in the way during cycling, especially if you want the bag on your front or side.

If I ever feel the need for more pockets, I'd rather use a tactical vest than a fanny pack.
Preferrably with a cross-draw holster, for when traffic really gets nasty.
