Personally, I would have been far more likely to pay extra for a Voodoo than ever buy a Trek. But Voodoos were quite expensive though, weren't they?
I've got a 1997 Voodoo catalogue here and a Bizango with XT kit and an Indy SL (i.e., equivalent spec to a 97 Explosif) would be £2,030. I think a 97 Explosif was £1,480. That's a made-in-USA Tange Ultimate Superlight Bizango vs a made-in-Taiwan Columbus Max Explosif.
I reckon if only they'd sold them at a more realistic price, more would have been bought BITD, and then they'd come up on eBay every now and again.
