Anyone used this stuff?

I keep a can in the pocket when I'm riding on tubs, never had to use it till... was out in the cold on another bike with clinchers and got a flat; skinny tight tyres so decided to use the can rather than struggle with cold digits.

No good, had to change the tube anyway, inspected the puncture when I got home, only a tiny hole and it didn't seal even tho I used the whole can...

Any clues?

Tub repair

Before using sealant in tubs you need to find out whether the tub is infact tubeless or has a tube inside it...
Tufo are tubeless as well as some Continental and I think Vittoria Rubino..
from experience I find that those with tubes inside do not respond well to sealant and the only way is to open them up and repair with a patch and re-sow up..
for value for money I buy an aerosol for a car and with a valve adaptor I use this for tubeless types...and also fill inside before using just in case a puncture occurs..
Better carry a spare tub and a roll off tub tape..

OK will do :(

but this was with a clincher, supposedly specified for both...

Pitstop is formulated for latex tubes, so probably won't work with regular butyl Tufo sealant is pretty effective for Tufo tubs IME - one of my CX tubs took a glass cut in a race and after a full-bottle of Extreme sealant has held-up for the rest of the season. Stans sealant works better for butyl

I used it once ... it didn't work. When I got home I cut the tub into sections. There was a dribble of white goo an inch each side of the valve. I did wonder if pressing the container up against my thumb on the tyre had sealed off the valve exit.

Anyways, instructive video here ( first minute is just waffle ) :
