Been hanging onto these for a while but means I would need a nice old road frame to hang them on and that's not a good idea...

Shimano Dura Ace FH7400 Hubset and 7 Speed cassette, Cira 1995

Front hub is better than the rear but both in good smooth condition, complete with original QR's with a little corrosion but I have not tried to clean them up as yet

Bearings are smooth in both cases and freehub is nice and clicky

Cassette has a little wear and is a 21-12 ratio both 32 hole

OLN is a little odd, seems to measure 128mm, guess a spacer washer may have been added at some point...

Rear hub has a few marks from some heavy handed mechanic, front is very nice

£60 including UK delivery ~ SOLD

126mm or 130mm OLN? Very interested either way! 126mm I guess from the 7-sp cassette.

Cheers,
Gareth.

The date code will accurately define production date, certainly the hyperglide AND uniglide compatible variant came later. Probably early 90s

As for date I was going to state earlier than '95 but was unsure due to the 7sp cassette

Lets go with early '90's as I can't find a date or for that matter model number on them, the bearing covers have the open/close greasing option but no model number

Here's a list of the Shimano date codes, you'll find the two letters on the flanges somewhere.

This Velobase entry suggests they're the Uniglide variant of the 7400 series hubset

That particular page dates these from 1985 onwards, which surprised me a bit.
