For Sale Vintage Denton Bike

Hello everyone.

You'll have to excuse my massive ignorance on the topic of vintage bikes. I'm here today because I'm looking to sell this refubished Denton cycle. My dad found the frame and did it up. What do you think?? I'm based in the North East and can drop off locally. I've spoken to someone who is knowlegeable on the subject and he said about £150 would be reasonable.

I had some Suntour shifters very similar to those, so it wouldn't suprise me if it wasn't a half decent bike. But as above, a pic of the chainset and mechs would help a lot

Denton didn't make their own bikes. They used quite a few people over the years including Mercian, SBDU and Dave Yates. The Frame number may shine a light onto who built it.

Normally on the bottom bracket shell.

Seat stay caps saying SBDU Raleigh to me.

Wrong finishing on the s/s and c/s at drop out end mate, filed open and concave usually. Not definitive though.

Fork rake with gentle curve looks like Mercian, as above the dropout treatment and the lugs are not typical SBDU. Seat stay caps do look a bit oversize though.

Feathered shore lines on the lugs so deffo on the classier end...
