These are RARE!! It's also in a cool Sunburst linear fade w/ XT build. Frame uses the same 2" downtube as the Adroit from that era. Seller had a $3,600 Buy It Now but there's no reserve so it's just a regular auction now that someone started bidding.

That is nice, I think I saw that on Craiglist some time ago...not sure!

All Adepts have that 2" downtube.

isnt it just a small adept but in sunburst, didnt they come with 70c wheels anyway which is basicly a 29. because the measurments are not stacking up for it to be anything else. Maybe im wrong but im sure someone enlighten me

thanks andy

Never seen one before. Are these a genuine 29er or just a flat bar cyclocross bike? Is there enough clearance to fit a fat 29er tyre?

For a Klein fan, isn't that sort of like saying "isn't it just a Ferrari?" :P Yes looks to be a Klein small and remember, back in 1993 a hybrid/mountain bike w/ 29" wheels wasn't that common to begin with, let alone one with a "Klein" name on it. I don't think Klein actually sold many of these so that's what makes it fairly rare. You'll see lots of Adepts pop up on eBay but these are usually the later, full-suspension models that were made after Trek took over. This particular Adept was made before that. We'll see what it goes for at auction end.

It appears that an eBay newbie (0 feedback and no other prior bidding history) stumbled upon the Adept as his first eBay experience and plunked down a bid of $1,225. Hmmmm...yeah, that tends to happen a lot with folks new to eBay.

I sent the seller a message asking what was up and his reply was as follows:

"You mean the zero feedback people bidding? No, I'm canceling all bids from people with feedback less then 10 or less
then 95% positive, as stated in the listing. I had too much trouble with those eBayers before, thanks for your concern!"

He's cancelled those bids too.
