Gibble, it looks like those are for regular 5 toe feet, they may not fit you too well.

Oh how do trainers cause problems?

I see how they work, i guess as we evolved we would have gone barefoot which would allow the toes to splay as they wish.

Let us know how you get on.

I assume theyre fine for everyday use?

Oh and socks?

Modern trainers encourage you to land on your heel but try doing that barefooted, the natural way for us to run and the way we all ran when we were kids is to land on your forefoot or toes so you use your legs to absorb the shock.

When you land on your heel you land with an almost straight leg which is far more jarring for your joints but nearly all trainers now have a huge cushioned heel which encourages you to land heel first, which is a right pain when your a natural forefoot runner like me :?

Interesting to know.

So i wonder how long it is before we just evolve as such so were accustomed to 'shoe' walking.

I've had a pair for two years now and I'm using them as I would trainers or for short runs. The only problems being the wife walks ten paces behind me when I wear them to Tescos and I get extensive ridicule in the playground on the school run but on the plus side they weigh nothing and running in them is a revelation. I was always hoping they'd become more mainstream in the hope of reducing the ridicule.

Hang on a cotton picking minute. Surely the human foot is adapted for walking rather than running. We don't spend all day running around, do we? So the natural gaite is to heel strick first; unless you are a toe walker? (which do exist)
