Vernon Barker Cycles

never seen his work, but he has been around for years.and you would hope if he has been going that long he would be ok :D

He was the B in the old M&B Cycles, very well respected in the Yorks, Notts and Derby area. If his frames were good enough for Malcolm Elliott then they should be OK for us mere mortals.

last I heard was he only works 1 day/week. He was thinking about total retirement, so you may be out of luck. I understand Dave has moved in, so he may be taking over the workshop, but I'm not sure.

He rarely builds frames these days due to lack of demand. Most of his work is repairing frames including titanium.

His forte are his frames and the paintwork is good providing its soemthing simple. I wouldn't give him a job where paint artistry is a priority and its something you are fussy about.
