trip to scarborough last night to collect an ebay purchase and take the dogs for a walk/swim. set off at 7, back for 10 no problem.

except the wife and van had different ideas. while we were there she had arranged with a friend to pop into a pub and do a quick set (she is a singer/songwriter) and said friend would slip her a few quid. found the pub, she got carried away, didnt leave till 12.30. i live 2 hours away

got about half way home and van starts to feel funny. sure enough, rear tyre punctured. for some reason my jack wouldnt lift the van enough so had to crawl under in in the wet and filth to lift it off the suspension rather than the sill.

i am now sat at work rather zombified.

whats that old saying about tits and tyres?

Tits and tyres? I don't know the saying but I'll have you know as a woman I have always changed my own tyres  getting down and dirty has never phased me.

Oddly and from experience, it is the male that perpetuates the division between the genders, what I personally view as people desperately hanging on to the last vestiges of a dying attitude of superiority just because history has put men before women.

The women I know can do everything a man can do including.... yes, but of the men I now, not many can do what women can do, including the natural ability to care about others, something men have to work at, if they care.

True.

Then again, if a woman ever becomes president of the USA, they'll nuke a country every 28 days.

Fact: Women cannot load dishwashers a good as men.

Fact: Women cannot operate lawn mowers.

Or is it a plot to get men to fill dishwashers and cut the grass?

That is a fact but I work away one week in two and seems to get done fine when I ain't here... How efficiently I am not sure though.

Its just a case of priority's.
Men tend to like cars, so they're are usually aware on more stuff related.
Women just want to go from A to B, so everything else is just minor detail.

the dishwasher thing is true LOL.

My car is generally tidy, but I feel like I need rubber gloves and a paper suit every time I drive a car owned by a woman. How they get cheaper insurance is a mystery.

You will pleased to hear then that us women do not get cheaper insurance anymore with all this equal opportunities. Although we are statisticaly safer on the road than men :D
