Quick update, some might have noticed VeloBase has been up and down a few times over the last few weeks since the MySQL update with a '503' server error. This was happening due to something causing the server to stop entirely, forcing me to go and manually reset it. I pushed another update yesterday that should prevent those 503 errors going forward, or at least that's the hope.
As @bulgie has been kind enough to offer we download all we can it may be a good time to look at something like HTTrack - that allows you to download full sites.
https://www.httrack.com/
Then with a local copy of velobase you need not sweat if the site takes a breather.
Just as an aside, the search facility has always been a bit hit and miss for me. Perhaps it's browser specific, I doubt it will work properly on anything other than the vanilla Microsoft browser.I was able to access Velobase, but when searching for a specific part with applicable filters applied the result was the whole database. I had to alphabetically scroll through pages to reach a category and then "turn more pages" to get to the brand and item. Time consuming; but better than nothing.
