V brakes

Thanks mate good info looking at the 2 brake levers it looks like the canti lever is smaller tha the v brake lever is this always the case and can you use vbrakes on cantis but not the other way round or is there any tricks so you can cheers

You cannot mix V and Canti components - remember it's force x distance. Run Canti levers with V's and you have to set the pads 1mm off the rim and it all feels squishy. Run V levers with cantis and the brake will feel very firm, but you have to squeeze the lever impossibly hard.

Ok cheers mate when i looking at buying levers not many mention what they are or know and i think i got a set of v real levers by acident they came with like half moons that go in the cable circle what are they for

Thats the one mate thanks i have 2 pairs one has short levers the other long so i can use on cantis with the half moons thats a neat little hack for brakes and i might glue the halfmoons in if they are prone to falling out
