V Brake Set-Up Help

i do all the adjusting at the v end . hold the cable with your thumb and index finger , loosen the bolt and pull tighter or let a fraction of cable through .

That is what I have traditionally done. Thinking about it though the barrel way seems easier. I have just ordered myself some new v's and levers (not that I needed them just wanted to tart the bike up) so I will try doing it from the barrel.
