V brake / canti compatible lever , ahead cable hanger

I am not sure what brake to run on the zaskar, so to cover all bases I was thinking of a pair of lever that will do v and canti , is there such a thing? .

Also can I get hold of a cable hanger for use with a threadless system ?

Thanks

Ant

Avid adjustable levers are 'technically' capable of pulling both canti's and V's though in practice the 'feel' with canti's isn't great...

...I use these 'bellcrank' style canti' hangers because they are neat and tidy to fit, and make canti's as powerful as V's;

Threadless cable hangers like this one are widely available:

You can get them for 1, 1 1/8th and 1 1/4 inch steerers. You can also clamp then onto the quill of quill stems.

With the Tektro power booster the actuation occurs because as you pull the cable which moves one brake arm the cable outer resists the cable pull and causes the booster lever to move downward moving the opposite side up thus pulling the other brake arm inward. Its debateable if this actual boosts power, some say yes, others no but they're a good system to use on suspension fork bridges. Can be a pig to set up though.
I had this system just before V's became commonly available but I wasn't very good at set up so seen no noticeable improvements in performance at the time :oops:

Yes if you have a pivot bolt hole at the top of the forks as shown in the picture. The pivot must be attached to the fork crown or sus forks brake bridge. The system is primarily an alternative system to a canti hanger cable stop :wink:

Its to go on the rear brakes. The forks are undecided at the moment. But I have a hole drilled in the brace.
