For trade/sale

1993 Manitou FS

Bought it off here for £200.

Selling for £150.

Firstly, this ain't mint but in good shape for its age and is not cracked to death so can be ridden.

So I'll start with the "bad" bits and they are shown in the photos:

1. The only crack is on the driveside of the bottom bracket which has been welded and is quite sound now, if a bit unsightly.
2. The is a tiny dent on the top tube near the rear cable bosses
3. There is a scrape on the non driveside chainstay
4. Stanchion wear.

So what have i done since buying it;

Replaced the rear fork brace with an EFC one
The rear mech hanger has been rethreaded now
Stripped the old stickers off and cleaned it
Started to polish it

it comes with:

bag of spare bits including a tool to tap out the pegs
Ringle seatpost collar and shim for 31.8mm post

Measurements:

Toptube: 22"
BB to Toptube: 14.5"
BB to top of Seatube: 16.75"
Chainstay: 16.5"
Headtube:For 1.25" headsets

What shape are the rear shocks in ? Do they require a re-build or are they fairly good still ? Also I dont suppose you have the matching front Manitou's do you ??

Regards

Del

Rear shock is in good shape and the elastomers aren't mushed up.

I have a big bag of elastomer bits awaiting me in the US so can send some spare to the buyer.

I don't have the matching front forks unfortunately, only the following Manitous that I may consider selling:

Manitou 3 (or 4) with a carbon wrap - like the Judy FSX
Manitou EFC with Wing spring kit

Both the forks have 1.1/8" steel steerers but can be easily swapped to run 1.1/4" steerers

Thanks for the interest.

I have no idea how it was repaired as it was done in the US.

I would presume it was tig welded since it's aluminium and looks to have 2 passes over it.

Got my lbs to remove the bb that was in it and check it and they said it was ok.

beckon the call...

i know times are hard this time of the month/year so could do a part-ex. There is a list of some parts i've searched about for last year but couldn't find.

So £200 gets you:

Frame
ringle seat collar and bolt
seatpost shim
seatpost
front mech
2 x bottom brackets
box of spare bits; shock boot, peg tool
the CK cups when i get them, along with some spare elastomer bits
fred salmon stem 1.1/8
postage in the UK

Anything else you're looking for Jim?

I've got the Kooka levers (in red) but neither of the forks...

BB.
