unknown frame..

Pretty sure I have an article of the prototype Aluminium O somewhere in my Mountain Biker collection, it deffo had cantilevers, not a U brake...

Still think the down tube is too fat. Take a look how it cuts into the seat tube / BB junction and compare it to the Purple one in Scant's photo.

.................and then there's the U brake thing and the welds don't look 'quite' as tidy?

Still looks like an interesting frame though and could still be an Orange thet have been known to do some odd things from time to time.

aluminium O

I'd agree with cherrybomb... That down tube looks too fat. It has all the other ingredients of an Aluminium "O" though. Has it got any frame numbers on it at all?..... I can check against my ones if you want.

The one in Dave_H's post is a '92 as it has top routed cable mounts and a replaceable mech hanger. It's currently stripped of paint and waiting for an orange/ white fade repaint and a tasty set of RC35's. 8)

I've got spare early vinyl cut graphics in orange if you need some. :D

I waited for and had one of the first Alu O produced when new, and it was canti. U brake phase had gone by this time also - couple of years too late.
Does look very similar though. It was my first thought until I read U brake :?

LOL .... thanks tintin! :D

In keeping with the thread.... here's another Pic of my Ali "O". To satisfy those interested in the room decor... here's the other side of the room!!! :D :D ....piece together all of my posts and you might get the whole room!!

I don't think Dave_H's is a 92. The O frame I got off John a while back is circa 92 and has rivited cable guides and a non replaceable hanger.
